Hi
I'm moving from Squamish (Vancouver actually) to Calgary. I'm looking to do multi pitch trad and hoping to get into alpine climbing. Any suggestion on how my rack might change? I know for alpine it should be smaller and lighter but what is gear most common/useful in the Rockies?
Currently I've got a pretty standard Squamish rack - 2 sets of nuts, small aliens and camolots to #3 with some doubles in some sizes.
Thanks Sean

Get some knife blades and a hammer. You'll run into lots of sections on the limestone here with only hairline fractures and few options (short of bolting) for placing gear.
