I'm starting this new thread out of respect for the direction of the "Joshua Tree Accidents in Hidden Valley - 3 http://www.rockclimbing.com/...hp?p=1288744#1288744" thread, and I'd like to hear if anyone knows any more about how the climber was hurt on Overhang Bypass.

I'm assuming he pendulumed off the 2nd-pitch traverse, but did his pro fail? If so where was it placed and what was it? ...Or was it a second falling there? ...Or was it on the first pitch instead?

TIA

- bret

someone on supertopo could probably help you with this. some were witnesses. it's important that you figure it out to prevent future accidents.
