hey does anybody remember when our dividend checks come out...I'm trying to decide if I should buy some gear now or wait a few more days. I just don't want to purchase and get my dividend the next day...

If I remember right, they usually get sent out sometime in February. So I guess you still have some time. May as well buy that gear now.

I was just in and asked and the cash register lady tells me that it'll be out middle february like the 16th or so, I hope she knows what she's talking about

i'll be buying a new harness, possibly a new rope, and then little odds and ends that i probably don't need. perhaps new shoes too.

I was thinking white gas and water filter cartridges, maybe some cases of freeze dried foods - just some supplies for when our economy tanks after we go to war with iran next month...

That sounds about right. The 27th is ringing a bell for me. Keep in mind, you will likely receive a 20% off coupon for use with the dividend too! Also, don't forget that there's a pretty good sale running right now (the $_.83 super clearance). Got some La Sportiva Cliffs for $30! Though all the $15 TCUs are probably gone by now. It's running until the 20th.

I just called REI and was told everybody should be getting their dividends this week or next. Mine comes to a whopping $319!!! (I have the REI credit card and use it to buy everything.)
I'm gonna get:

I was told Feb. 27th as well. They are going to START to mail them out on the 27th, not all of them on the 27th :D So, hopefully your last name isn't Zzinick :D

Does this mean after the 27th you could go into an REI and say I'd like to use my dividend when buying something without having whatever they mail you?
They're not mailing it to where I live now...

Received mine yesterday, but you can go online, create an account, and see what your dividend is, or you can just go to the REI closest to you and they will use your membership number and your DL or passport and let you spend it that way too.
