A suggestion: While browsing the forums here, I've frequently seen photos that catch my eye that have been posted into the threads. When this happens, I usually wonder, "Where is that beautiful crag?" or "Who the hell is making that orgasm face while bouldering?" In any case, right-clicking and selecting 'properties' will give the URL of the photo. However, entering this url into my browser gives only the photo, not the information page that generally accompanies it in the photo section of the site. For example, if I look at the properties of the following photo (I stole this one from the front page): http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=69325 I will see that the URL is: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=69325 However, what I would really like to find is this page: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...to_show.php?id=69325 So, for my own interests, I can figure out how to edit the url to get the page that I want, but it would be nice for the site if there was a way to easily access information about a photo that has been posted into a thread. Now, I'm not much of a computer guy, so I don't know how feasible this would be. In all likelihood, implementing a feature like this would be a coding nightmare. However, I thought it might be worth it to throw the idea out and see what you think.

People certainly can make the photo a link to the photos page - when you insert the photo wrap it in URL tags like this: Part of the problem with coding something to do this automatically, is that not all of the photos that are posted in the forums are also hosted on this site. Many arent actually so....

if you are using firefox here is a bookmarklet open bookmark toolbar, create a new bookmark, name as "goto 2 rc.com photo page" and put this code as the location
javascript:(function(){ var e,s; IB=1; function isDigit(c) { return ("0" <= c && c <= "9") } L = location.href; LL = L.length; for (e=LL-1; e>=0; --e) if (isDigit(L.charAt(e))) { for(s=e-1; s>=0; --s) if (!isDigit(L.charAt(s))) break; break; } ++s; if (e<0) return; oldNum = L.substring(s,e+1); location.href = "http://www.rockclimbing.com/photo/photo_show.php?id=" + oldNum ;})(); now, any photo on the forum, just drag and drop on a new tab (or look properties, and copy paste), it will show you the image as you said. Click on your new bookmark button, and voila, you are on the photo page or for lazy, go here, drag and drop the button to your bookmark toolbar i took these and edited
