Hey it's that time of year again.. they posted it on NEclimbs and Access Fund "The following NH areas are temporarily closed until August 1 (Some restrictions may be lifted early — always check on site): Cathedral Ledge (parts of upper left), Eagle Cliff (northern end), Holts Ledge, Painted Walls, Rattlesnake Mtn. (main cliff only), Square Ledge. For more information, contact Chris Martin, Senior Biologist, Audubon Society of New Hampshire at 603.224.9909." Edit: from http://www.accessfund.org/regions/res/NH Also note the other faces closed in NH last year they opened it back up a bit early and may have even opened up some of the faces that didn't have nesting birds earlier than that. So respect the Falcons and wait until they take the signs down to head back to main cliff. Plenty of other stuff up there anyways. Jake

Thanks for posting jake. Good to keep up on things. Hmmm ... you mentioned Holts Ledge. I didn't know that they had reopened it for climbing. Last I new, it was being closed due to loose rock and private property issues. Know anything about this? I look at Holts every time I climb at Pickledish Hollow area. Love to get back up there... Alan

Can send you a few pictures if you'd care to pm me an email address. If it's opening again, you might enjoy some of the climbs ... trad only, and aid if you want. It's in Lyme NH on the Southeast side of Dartmouth Ski Area.
