I am looking for places to practice clean aid, also looking for places to practice jugging. Been jugging in my garage, but jug 10 feet, rap, repeat is annoying. My rock gym wont allow me to jug there. What good are they? I wonder the same... Would the big spire at castle rock be ok for jugging? Or the place by the waterfall? I think the ideal location would be vertical or overhanging. I hear there are a couple bolt ladders at Pinnacles for practice aiding. Steve

Well, I climb on Skyline Blvd every weekend and for Aid practice (using hooks) I'd recommend Aquarian Valley's main wall (also called waterfall wall, not to be confused with Castle Rock's waterfall wall). It's slightly more vertical than Castle rocks waterfall wall. Summit has alot of vertical stuff too! Tree surgeon at Summit rock would be interesting Aid practice climbing. It's a crack that starts thin 5.9 and finishes offwidth at the top. Protect the top with a size 4 or 5 camalot.

For free jugging, Goat Rock at Castle Rock is good--the great roof is ~65' off the deck and the entire pitch is 85+ feet long.
