what are your nastiest hangers (when the skin rips off the finger) ??
i was climbing in the gym and my hand slipped off a hold, some how i ripped off about a centimeter long length of skin and it got folded under still attached skin. to make it worse i threw some chalk in there to absorb the fluids so i could keep climbing, didn't work to well, just stung allot.

hangers are what you clip your quickdraw into on a bolt. flappers are what you call the dead piece of skin that tears off a finger, like you unfortunately had happen.
