I would like to guage the interest in a real, insured highlining demo put on by professional slackliners and highliners. Where you could sign up for it at RedRocks Rendezvous next year, just like one of their other climbing demos. You would get to see highliners in action and try the lines too, if you wanted.

If you would be interested in something like this, or would even just support it, even if you could not attend, I would ask you to do the following:

1) send a short email, stating that you would like to see a highlining demo included in the Red Rocks Rendezvous program for 2007, to

info@mgear.com

2) post below that you would want to see something like that happen, so i can get a sense here in the forum of the interest level.

Thanks for your participation.

It seems like alot of people want to try or see it but don't get any opportunities.

Hell yeah bro. I sent an email in.

I have never seen or tried highlining in person, but it sounds like it would be really cool.

I'll support that. Could anyone have come and watch the highlines in the pictures from red rocks?

I guess so, i saw them doing it at red rocks and hung with them for a few hours and they let me try it for the first time. They were super cool, and I learned alot in a short time.

I don't remeber everyone's name, but Budda and like two or three other guys were there when I tried, they were helpful and safe, i felt like i could have gotten the hang of it if i could have hung out for a couple more days.

The demo sounds cool, most people won't be lucky enough to wander up on it and get to try it.

Thanks again guys, can't wait to try again

Yeah, badger, I remember you. Anyone who happened to be around usually stopped and watched for a while, but we have to keep stuff low key on BLM land because if too big a crowd gathers they tend to require permits and such.

I shot off an email to mgear a while ago. Anyway, I was able to try a highline for my first time while at the RRR, and would love to see it happen again. Not only because I got to try it, which was sweet, but because corbin and john and all those guys are amazing at it, and it is just cool to watch.
Hope to see you guys at MOAB in October.
