I was wondering if anyone knew of routes on Abraham. The books that I have consulted only name routes on Isaac, and I've searched on here, and the only thing I could find is something on the back side. I was in Zion last week attempting a solo of the Touchstone Wall. It was my first time there, and on my way up the canyon, I couldn't help notice that the southeast face of Abraham is huge and very blank-looking. I'm pretty sure that it's Abraham that I was looking at. Any info? Thanks.

Gratefull: I far as I know there are 3 grade VI's up the huge Southeast face of Abraham. The Radiator VI 5.10 A4 ascends the steep crack system several hundred feet right of the summit, first climbed by John Middendorf & Walt Shipley in the mid 1990's Dr Thunder VI 5.10 A3 starts 200 yards to the right of the Radiator It was climbed by Eric Draper, Joe French & Boulos Ayad in 1999. Another line starts several hundred feet right of the Radiator following thin cracks. It hooks back up for the last few pitches of that route. Don't think the big smooth wall below and left of the summit has ever been climbed...no crack systems. Yeah, the Court of the Patriarchs are impressive!

I didn't find out until the 90s but George Lowe made the first ascent of Abraham via a route up the right side of the SE face.

I should have added that in May, '92 Jeff Lowe and Catherine Destivelle climbed several pitches of a line below the main headwall (well left of the Radiator) but finding it very blank descended.
