I've been looking for a set of aluminum HB offsets for a while now, with no luck. Anyone willing to part with all or some of a set, or know where I could find them? I haven't had success on ebay.

HB, the company, is no more. However, DMM, who bought the rights etc., is planning to reintroduce the offsets sometime in the future. Or so I heard...

Sweet! I'd heard that no one had taken over the design, which I thought was bizarre, since so many people like them. I have patience. Sort of. Here's hoping they come out SOON.

In reply to: HB, the company, is no more. However, DMM, who bought the rights etc., is planning to reintroduce the offsets sometime in the future. Or so I heard... IIRC, the brassies will return but not the larger aluminum offsets. That being said, I have a #9 HB Offset that I'll sell to the first one to throw a $10 my way. Only been placed a few times. SHipping extra, but it'll be cheap.

Northern Mountain has a couple of #0's left. Bronze offsets will return in spring of '07 when DMM is done "reworking the tooling" (read: bunging up the design). Aluminums they have said different things here and there but it seems like they may make them. Also, they will be quite expensive; $15 each was the old price and they have admitted it's going up. All in all it's a shitty situation, especially since WC/DMM makes all of the current inferior and overpriced substitutes (peenuts, ultralight rocks), so the same fools that are holding the design hostage also get your money if you can't wait. I finally finished out my set this week. Now I just need to figure out how to get them to form Voltron.

Comet, is it really bad luck or just reluctance to pay the current market price? These things do sell on ebay quite regularly, you just have to bid high enough, they sell for ridiculous prices... :? It seems to me that brassies are on ebay a bit more often than the aluminums tho.

I don't need them badly enough to pay $30 apiece, used, if that's what you're asking :) I also haven't seen sets, just individual ones, and to pay $5 to ship a single nut is totally ridiculous. I see used stuff on ebay that IS available new in stores go for more than the market price, so I'm kind of doubtful that it will really cost me that much to get a set of used HBs.

FCK HB and DMM- Just got the metolius astro nuts, and they are as good if not better than the hb design at both the aid and free sizes- ta hell with the lazy welsh, and buy american they are cheaper too! (note: I do not work for metilius, and in fact this is their only product that does not blow donkey dck) i mean really, the PAS is a POS, and everything else is just lame and the waste case and bomb shelter, come on, support fish products and buy Russ's crap tube and double ledge. Half the price and twice the fun. and the metolius logo is a total rip off of the nike/air jordan jumpman- lame, I climb so I can avoid fat american spectator sports, not be reminded of them. peace see yall in Yosemite

DMM, as last i heard, is planning to release both the bronze and the aluminum offsets this fall ('06)...they had some issues with the tooling, i believe, and more or less had to start from scratch in order to bring the production process up to date. At any rate, a few more months patience and you'll be able to acquire them easily. in the meantime, if you're dying for a set of offsets, I really like the WC Superlights....they're slightly offset and work quite nicely in places regular stoppers wont.

How much are these actually going for, because if the price is right I might have a set of 5 (2-6) I might unload, ONly a few have been placed, just and a few times at most. Thinking these might go to ebay unless someone gives me a decent price here....

I have a full set of the alum. and a full set of the brassies. Only a few have been placed and none have taken a fall. I like the swap system. I need #2 and #3.5 camalots to complete my secend set. Not the c4's (not a big fan) I'm looking for the single stem and runner ones. If you don't have the cams, I would take $50 a set and buy the cams off ebay.
