i went bouldering yesterday, and i fell. i have no fear of falling, i figure its gonna happen, whatever. well yesterday i fell(about 10-15 feet). and my knee made contact with my cheek/left side of nose. it didnt bleed, its still straight, but i have a throbing headache, and i cant move my eyes to look at something. i have to move my whole head (well, i can move my eyes, its just hurts like a mother) i havent taken anything. but im thinking that i will head to the docotor tomorrow if my head doesnt feel anybetter. im not really sure what im looking for here, but any input is apreciated. -peace

It sounds like you got your bell rung hard. Increased intercranial pressure could continue to build and people have been known to die in the night. Additionally there is potential for spinal injury. If you insist on waiting til tomorrow, I hope there is someone with you who will monitor you through the night for signs of deterioration. Hope I am not too pushy here - but I am a little concerned. He said it happened yesterday. If he made it through last night, tonight should be better. I smacked my head yesterday. I came out of an offwidth roof and had only placed pro halfway out. When the rope came tight, I flipped and swung into the wall. I had a really frightening visual, dark red splotches everywhere. I assumed it was blood and my skull was cracked. After getting lowered I was assured that not only was my head not cracked, but the big goose-egg on my head was barely bleeding. Still a scary visual, I think it was the same thing as seeing stars but the light conditions made it red splotches. No headache whatsoever though.

kantkatchme - When I smacked my head I went to the ER right away, and you should, too! The doc told me to have my husband wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me if I knew my name and where I was. If you hit your head hard enough, you may not be able to do that for yourself! I felt stupid for a week and couldn't drive. Please go to the doc, and feel better soon! You can't take any risks with your brain.
