Hey everyone. I live in Plano, and am looking for someone to start climbing with. I've been climbing indoors a few times and would love to devote more time to the sport. I'm pretty athletic, but lifting weights doesn't really make you a better climber. My problem has always been, finding a partner. So if you're interested, let me know. Thanks.

Hi,
I live close to Downtown Dallas and am looking for a climbing partner. Like you, I've climbed in gyms a few times and really need a partner to step it up a notch. Are you still looking for someone to climb with?

just moved back to the flower mound area for the summer and have run into the same problem -- no partner. you guys still interested?

See you are all looking for partners in the Big D.
When the temp cools down a bit I will start climbing again.
I will let you know when I am planning on going.
It probably won't be until late September at the earlies...too damn hot here.

I have been looking for someone to climb with as well, can't get a hold of my old partner. I usually climb at summit climbing gym. Have been to Mineral Wells on occasion as well as Paradise on the Brazos(POB). PM me back with information if u are interested.

If anyone is interested crgwhe and myself along with some other people are going to Mineral Wells Friday the eleventh to camp and climb all day Saturday.
If you want to go pm myself or crgwhe for more details. I have a rope and a top rope setup and Craig has a rope and two top rope setups so if anyone can bing another rope that will make three ropes we can climb.

A note to anyone in Dallas: I have been climbing with my girlfriend (she has 12 yrs experience) all summer at Summit with a few trips to Canyons in Frisco. We're headed to Austin in two weeks time and will be making regular weekend trips to Reimers, the Greenbelt and Enchanted Rock starting in September.
If we climb with you a few times indoor we'll be more comfy inviting folks along outdoors. I can vouch for sport_climbertx, i climbed with him & Craig last year at Mineral Wells and they are both safe, smart climbers.

I moved up to Dallas in January and have done some climbing in the area with a buddy of mine from school. We've gone to quite a few of the indoor gyms in the DFW area and have climbed at Mineral Wells several times as well. I have a rope and gear for anchors as well as a set of quick draws, and I'd really like to do some outdoor lead climbing as I just recently learned to lead climb.
We'd also like to meet up with some people who travel down to the Austin area or up to the Wichita Mtns for some outdoor climbing when it cools down a little. If you'd like to join us sometime, send me a message.
I'll send out some PMs to those who already posted too.

Hello all,
I have just moved to Dallas from New England and am looking for climbing partners in the area. I am looking to climb indoors and get out on weekends. I don't climb particularly hard (yet), I just love getting out there, but I am a smart, safe second looking to start leading. It sounds like there are quite a few of you on here so hopefully someone (especially any of you gals) will take pity on this newcomer and show her around. I want to get out to the Austin area and up to the Witchitas, but I would also like to find a regular gym partner (of any ability). I have a rope, anchor gear, and the humble beginnings of a rack to share.
