Ok.... here's some more info I have found via a Park Ranger - Still not really sure what this means for all us climbers out there...?? “Do it for Peace,” a non-profit organization dedicated to peace causes around the world, is organizing an event for September 8th through 15th in Yosemite Valley. Teams from around the world will be climbing routes on El Cap as part of an effort to raise money for the Institute for Individual and World Peace (www.iiwp.org). This event will also include a clean up effort on Saturday September 14th. For those eager to help with the clean up, this is a good chance to kick off the fall big wall season on a good foot. There will also be a celebration on the 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Lower Rivers Amphitheater (in the old campground), live music, speakers, general fun for all.
