This kid always comes down to the local crag with his pet rooster. the animal will not shut up. he always talks to it like it's his best bud. should I tell him to leave the rooster home or should I just bring down the frying pan and have lunch next time?

Your kidding right???? A pet roster? ok well that is new. hhhhmmm i would say ask the kid to make it shut up and if he doesn't then just move on i mean what can you do. I guess the equivalent would be a dog that never stops barking. That is the weirdest thing i have ever heard lol rockwarrior

If you are really mean, you could bring a hungry dog! I am sure he would enjoy some fresh chicken! That, however, would not encourage animal restraint, but make the problem worse. Oh, well, Goodluck!

this is what you do, act like a loose rock fell from the route and nail the stupid bird. then ask the kid if you can have it since it is dead.

A rooster, really? Are you joking? I'm with climbsharptop, just make sure you yell ROCK! In all seriousness [if it can be utilized in this instance] ask him to leave the bird at home. Same thing with untrained dogs and small children, chain them up at home. The dogs, not the children. Well, unruly children maybe.

Do one of two things... guaranteed to get a response. 1. Bring a bucket of KFC 2. Dress as Col. Sanders k9

tell the kid you have a better place for that bird if he wont take it home - your stomach! This question is a lot like the thread about bringing a dog up to the crag... Not the greatest idea Kat

bring a knife and fork then keep saying how hungry you get after a climb, and that you REALLY love nice, juicy, chicken. Yum, yum. Or, just grab the rooster and put his neck under his wing - he will go to sleep.
