What do you all think about climbing (specifically aid) in the rain?
Add you own pros/cons to my list:

Cons:
1. Everything gets wet (duh)
2. Gear takes days to dry out and is left stiff
3. Rusty gear?
4. Slippin -n- sliding all over the rock (unless aiding)
5. Anything but aiding is silly
6. Probably get sick

Pros:
1. You're climbing

It's not the rain that's bad, it's the humidity

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Ernesto moves swiftly so I can salvage a bit of the weekend.

Another "con": wet dynamic rope behaves like static rope.

My primary concern would be staying warm. The rain will sap your bodies warmth lickity split, and you really cant warm back up until you can dry out or at least get out of the rain and get most of the wet clothes off. Unless it's 90 degrees, then youll be ok  It's 55 here currently, though, and I'd have to be really hard up to venture out into this crap if I didn't have to. Stupid Ernesto.
