A guy at work offered a case of beer to whoever can name this cartoon (spurred by the "Favorite cartoon thread"; I remember watching it, and loving it as a kid, but can't find it online. The cartoon was a GI Joe or MASK type of thing where all the characters had these backpack kinda things which "lauched/created" a line which they would hang from and travel on between points... it took place in a mountain sort of setting... It was called "Air Commandos"or something like it... -F

No no, come on people, I'm talking early to mid eighties cartoons, not new toys (which are admittedly very cool). -F

I remember the Visionaries. I had all the toys. If I remember correctly when you rubbed the little shield on their chest it showed what their power was. Doobs.

Something like Slobodan and the socialist youth brigade.

While we're naming obscure cartoons- What about some weird, early '80's prehistoric/space-travel family that had some cool pets- One was a rhino-like critter that could shoot stuff out of its horn, and the others were white, nebulous blobs (maybe a parent and kid blob)??? I'm thinking Hannah-Barbara style animation and around the same time as Space Ghost. Or am I simply crazy?

They were called "The Herculoids" and when I saw it as a kid, it was always accompanied by Space Ghost too. http://members.aol.com/PaulEC2/he1.jpg
