I am in Placerville this weekend 9/16, 9/17. I would be up for some climbing either of those days. I have a rack. Can lead some easier routes. I don't know the area very well though. Let me know if your interested.

I live a few miles south of Placerville and know the local climbing areas. There are some excellent trad four to ten pitch routes in the 5.7 to 5.9 range and top rope possibilities to 5.11. Let me know if that's of interest.

I live in Auburn, have a rack and can lead easier stuff - i haven't been climbing alot lately but need to get back in and possibly do some aid and longer routes. I'm free during the day most days except Wed and all day Sunday, Monday & Thursday. Been to the Leap but not much else in the area (have the Supertopo as well). Give a shout to allisynab@hotmail.com - c-ya

hey there, i've got kin up there so i'm in pville sometimes and always down to tr'ing or whatever down by the river in the evenings. i've been getting back into climbing shape and loving it! the best thing for my climbing is getting a lot of mileage so i'm totally down to tr out there when i'm in town, do the chimney and popcorn and all that fun stuff, and i havn't been on dinkum in awhile so it would be fun to get on it. i do have plans with a friend to be out there one evening next week, but not sure yet which day. my schedule is a little upredictable right now as i'm being a bit of a gypsy, but i like it out there, if you need a partner send me a message to discuss things further and if i can go, i will. we can go tr'ing out at buck's bar and then go to a hoedown at the grange hall :D

I might be in the area early November. Anyone climb on Gutenberger Wall? I've been wanting to get on that for a while. Are two ropes really necessary to rap off the top?

well i think a partner and i may be out there one evening next week. when i know the details i'll let you know. you would be welcome to join. i'm not terribly knowledgeable about gear placements, so prefer to climb with folks people i climb(ed) with proclaim safe... and i'm pretty good on partners for out of town trips for now, i just think it's fun to head out to the river to climb if i'm in the pville area and people are going anyways.
