Here's a few links to posts about climbing in NM.

There is some good climbing in White Rock which is about 30 minutes away from Santa Fe.

More info: http://www.santafe.com/outdoors/climbing.html

Diablo Canyon is closer to Santa Fe but you have to drive down a VERY washboard road.

There is also a new guide book for Jemez called "Jemez Rock"

Try googling there is a lot of info. Also, the Santa Fe CLimbing Center is a good place to get beta as well as Sangre De Cristo Mountain Works.

Check out the Stone Age Climbing Gym website http://www.climbstoneage.com/index.php?topic=Guiding for guiding, also there's some around Taos.

I'd take a trip down to the Sandia's (Albuquerque) if you're out here. The guide book that I know of is Sandia Rock, available through REI.

Tres Piedras (north) is pretty decent if you like slabby trad climbing. Check out Taos Rock (also at REI) for info.

There's some conglomerate climbing at El Rito that's pretty cool if you haven't seen that before. 1 pitch sport stuff mostly. Check the links, on-line guides on the Stone Age web site.

White Rock (near Los Alamos) is pretty decent. Volcanic rock with pretty interesting texture.

Have fun, bring water and sun screen.

I lived there for a few years and felt the Falcon guide was fairly adequate.
Didn't do much trad until after I left there, but hear Questa Dome and the Sandias were good (although Sandias can apparently be really sketchy if you get off route).
White Rock is close, and there are other routes out in the Jemez moutnains worth checking out. There are some good hot springs to soak in the Jemez too.
My favorite place for sport was probably Cochiti Mesa (needed good clearance on your car coming in from Cochiti Lake side 10 years ago), which is under an hour from Santa Fe and I'd highly recommend it. Also some harder cracks there...
Palomas Peak has some decent sport too, which is towards Albquerque.
Have fun in the land of encahntment! Santa Fe is the highest capital in the lower 48 so be prepared for colder temps, although its usually nice.
