In fact ,I haven't climbed for over 2 months. I'm just hang out on this board right now for something to do.

Curt, i know you climb harder but i climb those long easy climbs with chimnys and belay ledges that you actually sit on. I'm telling you man, you gotta check out the wall mart clothing section. Good stuff made in the same sweatshop as the High dollar name brand clothing....

If you spend more time on this site talking about climbing than you do actually climbing something.

I might be a poseur...I might not be; but given my current situation...I do more talking/wishing/planning than actuall climbing. Only 8 more months of gradschool then I can move back to the rocks and I might even have weekends off again. gig-a-di, gig-a-di, gig-a-di.

Sorry, this wasn't even directly directed at me, but I felt the need to comment/respond.

You spell poser "poseur"?
I may well be a poser, I wear my bouldering 3/4 pants around purely because they so ludicrously comfortable. I wear my buff/beanie (which I love, and even posted about, I believe this confirms my poserness) type thing because my hair irritates me when I'm working.
But I don't drive a hummer and if I had a rack (not of the sport variety) it probably would cost more than my car (an old mini I bought from a plumbers son who was getting married and needed a family car), which I might add was paid for not by my mom but by my grandparents. I only post here because I like to think about climbing when I don't have time to be out there, university is the devil. Oh wait I suspect it may be the whole capitalism thing (not that option B is any good tho).

This is a very funny thread tho, stupid and amusing sums it up perfectly.

O.K. That's it! I started this thread as a light-hearted brake from the seriousness permeating this forum. Instead it backfired! Some took my humor as me looking down on others and/or assuming that I feel that I am so much better than everyone else! Gimme a brake! (It takes a poseur to know one-heck we all were poseurs before we gained experience and got humble.)

Thanks again to those that found this post clever and funny. Shame on the rest of you that got your feelings hurt and found it necessary to turn this into a challenge to your fragile egos... ...you know who you are.

Don't worry, I will only post dry, boring, and serious threads from now on!

Old Navy clearance section is my personal favorite. And then I don't have to live with the concience of supporting a truly sociopathic corporation like Walmart .... just the Gap corp pseudo-sweatshops.

If the spray in your profile is a red herring, then this post is a sure giveaway that you're a poser... really, seriousness? On RC.com?

Really, dude, if anyone needs to lighten up it's you. You should expect some guff in a joke thread... but instead you let your panties creep way up your cooch and you end up making serious posts. You just trolled yourself! HAH!

You have NO profile. I figured you were just another one of the "I've got nuthin', so I should attack anyone that has sumthin" crowd-figures. I'm going to change my profile immediately so it lists NOTHING. Then I can be as cool as YOU and shoot others down without fear of retribution. By the way, when is someone supposed to be ashamed of skiing a lot and getting paid for it?! Jealous coward=Poseur.

Hey, when you've got nothing(like you), you've got nothing to loose!

Are you kidding? The only true way to become a Poseur is to donate money to RC.com, then use the ability to choose your nickname, and change it to "Poseur". You all have NOTHING on me.

Punks.
