In reply to: In reply to: I prefer rum. :P I thought you drank RedBull and Vodka... At least I seem to remember you drinking that when we met up in Utah at Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. Ahhh the discovery of Red Bull  Well to clear things up, I didn't have any vodka, only 2 x 2 litre bottles of beer, 12 x 7.2% canadian beers, and a bottle of rum. And so was born the days of Red Bull and rum. I recall Hangerless and Sauron having little tales related to that discovery. Total fabrications I have to add.

I walk by Grant's tent...his head is pressed at an unnatural angle against the mesh of the tent door. He wakes up and stumbles out into camp. Hey Grant...you hungover? No man...I'm still drunk *4 hours pass* Hey Rob?.? Yeah, bro... Now I'm hungover

In reply to: In reply to: Is that in Camp Slime? Because, if so, I didn't know you back then, but I strongly remember Grant being f---ing loud all the time. He doesn't know how close I came to taking a knife to his hammock. Hey, I'm particular about me sleep. He's not loud, he's... Enthusiastic.....Gregarious... Jocular... Effusive.... But the worst part is he keep you up drinking Tequila until 4:00 AM and then stands outside your tent at 8:00 banging a cast iron skillet saying "WAKE THE HELL UP!!! WE'RE MISSING PRIME CLIMBING TIME!!! LET'S GET TO THE ROCK!!!! And the ONE time he didn't get up early, is what Rob illustrated (I have it somewhere too, just can't find it.):
In reply to: Hey Grant...you hungover? No man...I'm still drunk *4 hours pass* Hey Rob?.? Yeah, bro... Now I'm hungover .. followed by us all on the side of BCC in Utah: Grant, yer going the wrong way... You're the ones following the drunk guy... *we all turn around and take a different path* - d.

In reply to: Nope... Not camp slime... Its when Karen and I went bouldering at Niagra Glenn in Canada, and met up with Grant, Mark, Abbie, and a few others. Hi, my name is fiend and I was the top rated user on this site for far too long. Member number 232, page 5. I'm getting all misty eyed with the reminiscing here... oddly enough, I was with Laura (ropegun) at the Glen that day but Abbie--who I didn't know at the time--was actually there as well. So we're meeting up in Joshua Tree then?

I gave up climbing for surfing so hopefully to Tofino for the long weekend. And yeah... I'm living and working right near MEC. I think we really only met like one time but it seems like more than that. I'll be looking to climb again in the spring... we should get out sometime.

I think we "oldskoolers" should meet up in J-Tree for New Years. Rob... T... Remember this pic ??? http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=2421 I think this was actually the day you two met face to face in J-Tree. 5 people from this pic have also replied to this thread... Karen, me, T, Rob, and Dom (from L-R) Also... As far as "RC.com Events" go, this was the first one, although not originally meant as anything other than users 'original users' from around the country meeting up... Dom flew in from Texas, T flew in from Oregon, Less and his daughter (not shown) flew in from Minisota, and I think Jaybee (also not shown) flew in from like Tennessee or something. Those not shown in the above pic are shown in this pic from earlier that day... http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=2414 And lastly... Remember us spotting Dom on this... http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=2480 But ready to run if he actually came off. How's that for some "way back" pics ???

Found another one that Paul (addiroids) posted up years ago... http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=8177 This one also shows Andy (meadors), as well as those mentioned above. I think this was at the base of White Lighting and Dung Fu.

I don't think New Year's will work for me, but sometime in the spring might.

no idea what i'm up to... still getting back on my feet financially... i came out to BC to continue my roadtrip and be a dirtbag in squamish... dirtbagging got old and i came to the city to have a bit more of a life, and income. unfortunately i incurred a debt that exceeds what i spent on the entire 5 month roadtrip. thanks for the pics, adam. i'd be up for a reunion. i tried to make a j-tree gathering but cancelled and flew back to canada after getting sick in mexico. besides, fiend and i barely remembered if we actually ended up meeting after all that IRC blabber.
