How easy will it be to meet people in the area to climb on Ben Nevis and the surrounding area? i'm having problems finding partners from the states, so, i'm just gonna head out on my own. will i be able to meet people there to climb with? i'll be there in Feb of 07.

Might be quite hard, Try orginising a few partners thro ukclimbing.com and scottishclimbs.com.
PS give me a shout wen your around and ill be up to the ben.

You should go to Scott Muir's gym in Inverness to look for a rope. Check it out at http://extreme-dream.com. You can even dry-tool there! 2 weeks might be tough, if it rains... If it is in good nick when you arrive then GO CLIMBING w/ or w/o a partner, conditions are fickle I hear.

just wanted to bump this and see if there is anyone planning on being there through the dates i'll be there. a chance to climb with some locals would be great.

I plan to be there, and so does my partners, we also have a car. (or will by that time)
Me and my partner aren't so hot on the ice, but Andy (moinerus, see above) is half decent and will probobly be able to get some done with you, plus he has quite a bit of experiance up there.
Oh yeah, and Andy, we still good for this winter season, aye? :P Mark will have a set of wheels by then.
