From 4/14-5/16 i will be traveling/climbing where ever. any English people out there who would care to introduce a sport wanker to your grit?? i'll have my rack and rope with me. if any one is planning trips as well, i'd love to meet up on the Continant if possible. zach

head north my friend and the grit is waiting. you are a bit stuck for local crags, but there is always people out on the grit (weather permitting of course). but you are getting the best time of year for it. cold hands but excelent friction. we'll soon toughen up those sport climbers hands of yours.

i'm coming from the Red River Gorge, my preferance is overhanging jug hauls, i doubt anywhere else has RRGesq jug hauls though. currently i lead .10/easy .11 sport routes and .7/8- trad routes and boulder V3ish. I'd love to try scottish alpine stuff, i have a little bit of colorado snow experiance, i'm gonna hit up font in the spring, and of coure the grit on the weekends, other than that, though i'm wide open. in that month, i was planning to travel/climb. wanted to perhaps visit Assissi, Switzerland, Prauge, North Italy and Bavaria, but also climb as well. i'm not to in to the mass tourist scene.

usually, late jan and feb are the best times for scottish winter climbs. its a good laugh up there if the conditions are in. me and a few mates are going to be heading up a few weekends probably. the gritstone is a fantastic rock, but its a strange one to get used to really. more vertical and slabby than anything else, although there are a few over hangs they tend to be more as a roof than a whole route off vert.
