I'd like to get some input from climbers in this area (Ventura County, CA. USA) as to what they are willing to do to help get Camarillo Springs Boulder access back. I have been given an great (IMHO) idea from Michael with the ACCESS FUND in San Diego, the idea was a website to create a kind of club (see http://www.giantsoftware.com/sdcc to get an idea). What I want to know is: 1)would anyone be interested in this, and if you are would you be willing to volunteer time/skills to the cause? 2)has anyone heard if something like this already exists in V.C. 3)comments on if you think this might actually work. please send replies to ride@ieee.org thanx! (i know I already posted about this, I wanted to create a new thread so that people would see it. please mod me if it is nessesary) NOTE: Linked to Database [ This Message was edited by: roughster on 2002-09-14 07:59 ]

Damn, 8 days later and only _one_ reply (and that was from a friend) hrmmmmm, hardly any views even. I guess this is only important for me. Well, if _I_ get access to this place, I don't want to see any of you there!!! EDIT: Dont listen to me [ This Message was edited by: ride on 2002-09-23 17:44 ]

Have any friends in law enforcement that climb? Get them to stop by and talk to the lady. Even if your law enforcement friends are idiots...the uniform and badge impresses the landowner. Makes the landowner feel like she has her 'own' security force when the officer is on her property. She will like his friends because she figures they are as responsible as the officer must be.
