hey all, coming from berlin to drive around vancouver and victoria island, and also around squamish and wistler. i guess it will be cold as hell so i ill be looking for ice... is there any good ice and mixed areas there? i know there is alot of good ice east around Banff and Jasper but i wont be going that far east if anyone can point me to an online recource that lists some of the areas to ice and mixed climb there i would appreciate it. also if there is a guide to ice and mixed for bc i would like to know where i can find that. thanks Traveler Taj Terpening www.travelerphotography.com

The only guidebook for BC ice is West Coast Ice, by Don Serl. There's not near as much as you may first think, because the maritime climate moderates the temperature much more than in the interior. Typically our summers are cooler, and our winters are warmer, with less temperature difference, than inland locations at the same latitude and elevation.
