Shucks. Used to be, you could get a mini guide free online. They took it down though. I'm going to look for this, I bet it's good.

I live next to the HCR in Newton Co. I grew up here and know the area and owners of the ranch and have friends that work there too, so if there's a question i'll be glad to help.

Is this guide book really worth the 16.50 that it is going to cost me? Will they be selling them at the Trading post at the ranch? How much? I just dont see what information could be in it that is so much better then the last one I had...Please, if someone who has could explain. Or maybe take a picture of one of the pages...

If it was me I wouldn't purchase the book. I would just go to the ranch and guide myself around. But thats me. www.gohcr.com has some good info. But not as detailed as the book. I'm sure if you emailed them with questions about the ranch thet would help you.

There's a reason that HCR's website doesn't have the download any more. To sell these great books. Yes, of course they have them at the ranch shop. A great addtition to your library, and a much better format than the self print thing.

Kane- there is a preview of the book on the website.

Had the old POS individual stapled guide, bought the new guide the day it came out. Route descriptions are good in that you can locate routes by features instead of numbers! Well worth everypenny! Happy climbing!
