Just found out about a possible job opening next year in Reno, Nevada. Any thoughts on Reno? How far is the nearest climbing? How's the city itself? Any advice/info would be much appreciated.

Hey Sarah,

I've spent the past 19 months working in and around Reno and staying there too. The cost of buying a house is ridiculous, but the rental rates arent too bad. Its an interesting city, lots of casinos, but dont let that scare you. The climbing is in Tahoe, Bishop, Yosemite, Donner Pass, and more. If you do a search you should be able to find plenty of guides on the areas, and youre only 3hours from SF and the coast and even 2 hours to Susanville which has the southern most Volcano of the Cascade range, Lassen Peak, and ill stop there. theres tons to do, they have a kayak park on the Truckee river in downtown, take a trip out on a weekend and just check it out.
