Don't worry, Mal. We'll save the hard pitches for you to lead. But that nine foot long WI 0.5? It's MINE, bitches.

Your face bears a strange resemblance to a bar tender my fists met last year at the fest. DOH! I plan on doing some XC skiing and mountaineering down there on Sunday if anyone wants to escape the madness of the Park. See you guys next week.

"I'm sending Stevie to get the beer you owe me. Pay up or he'll break your kneecaps." And has anyone else noticed that Mal's pic above bears a striking resemblance to a hairy version of Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies? Scar's on the wrong side, sure, but the basic look is there. Just saying, ya know?

Well, crap. Been dealing with a sore (painful, actually) neck and right arm for a few months now. Got put on some drugs for the pain and inflammation, and had my MRI done last night. Gut feeling says it's a bulging/herniated disc, but won't know for sure till Monday. I'm still going to be there, but I don't know how much I'll be able to climb.... at the moment, I don't have much function in my right arm because it hurts too damn much to move. I also can't indulge in too much booze, cause it doesn't mix well with the medications. Going to try to make the best of this trip, but if'n y'all see me wince in pain from time to time, now you know why.

My partner just informed me that he is unable to attend this year's fest. I am ISO a partner or group to share climbling lines and expenses (gas, lodging, etc.) I am based in Colorado Springs and have all equip and a SUV to get through the potential storm coming up for the fest. I am a 32 year-old Colorado Springs professional. This will be my 3rd time climbing at Ouray. HELP!!!!

Reno! Damn, man, what bad timing. Feel better, safe travels, all that. Don't worry, you can probably climb as well with one arm as I can with two. It's gonna be a good time no matter what, sounds like some Orvis is in order to heal what ails ya! Edit: Utahsnow, it's gonna be a good time no matter what, I'm sure myself and others here will be happy to share a rope and/or beer with ya! PMed ya my phone number, call me Tuesday night.

utahsnowrider wrote: I am ISO a partner or group to share climbling lines and expenses (gas, lodging, etc.) Not sure about lodging, but for partners, you shouldn't have any trouble. Heck, hook up with us.... the more, the merrier. We'll be by the lower bridge, near the Ouray Mountain Rescue hut around 8-9 am on Wednesday morning. Probably same place, same time, Thursday, too. I'd offer you space in my townhouse to crash, but we're overbooked with folks, and you'd be relegated to the back porch, next to the grill, timstich, and mr8615.
