OOHHhhhh YEeeessssss. It's been neck to neck!!

We've been watching these two for a few months now. Wondering...... WHO will get the first 100th El Cap route.

If you don't know WHO we're talking about.... well.... Steve Gerbeding and Hans Florine, of course.

Ok, here's the AWESOME news. They're going to send the first 100th El Cap route, together.

Yep. That's right. The Dihedral Wall. For their first time roping up together, Steve and Hans will break into the 100th, El Cap route............ together.

GOOD LUCK, guys!! It's most likely going to be a record time.

Damn!! I had my eye on that route's time!!

They did it!!!

On November 14th, Hans and Steve climbed the Dihedral Wall in 14 hours and 6 minutes. Not only making the first 100th El Cap route, together, but also making a speed record ascent.

Congratulations, Boys!!!

Yeah, but which one topped out first? Just kidding.

That's great that they decided to do it together.

I don't know about Hans, but Steve told me it was his first time up the Dihedral. So it was an onsight and a speed record for him.

You can click here to visit Hans Florine's website, www.speedclimb.com/ where you can go to compare El Cap resumes.

Hansey is up to 107 ascents, a whopping 53 of these being The Nose!

But Steve's got him beat in another department - number of different routes done. Steve's done 49. Man, that's gotta be a lot of nights on The Big Stone!

The list is far from exhaustive. Both Tracey Dortman and Tucker Tech have told me they have done around 35 ascents, but I'm assuming that's not by different routes.

Veddy intereshting.......

It's Tracy Dorton and you'd better be careful when mentioning his name...

Numbers schmumbers... who cares... you're too caught up in this stuff.

Damn, Hans has done the Nose 53 times? Schist, that's 50 times too many. There's something to be said about all things virgin... I guess he climbs fast enough so that he doesn't ever get bored with the Nose. 53 times... damn, what a waste.

Fruck these stupid resumes and go out and climb something and have fun. Screw what everyone else thinks!
