hello i just got a brand new pare of black diamond c3's for aid climbing but the leashes are way too small for my wrists. i took them back to rei to see if they had different sizes but they only had the one. are the leashes supposed to be super tight on your writs or is there a separate leash you have to buy in order to use them? they really should have this kind of thing in the little booklet. should i have different sized c3's for each hand in case of different cacks or how does that work. Im excited to start aiding.

If you can't get your wrists through the leashes you should just sell 'em. It's not even worth persuing.

It's a pretty simple fix. You aren't supposed to hang directly off the leash. You need to get some good gloves. The best are available at rodeo stores, the gloves that tighten around the wrist. YOU DO NOT WANT THE GLOVES TO FALL OFF!!! Then you attach a few sizes of C3's to one hand and Aliens to the other YMMV but that's my preference. Just put the cam in and pull, the other cams will dangle out of the way.

What, have you never aided before? Those are plenty big enough to get your thumbs thru. Thats what there for, so you have your fingers free on each hand to wiggle another piece in above your C3, and move up on it. Or if you just got one in, you can hold a piton with your fingers while your free hand pounds it in if needed. Once you free up your fingers the possibilities are endless. Can't get your wrists in it......pfffft

Or you can just buy a sling and a girth hitch your neck and clip it in. That way you get both hands free for placing the next piece. Hurry up though, 000's can pop when you least expect it, so you don't wanna hang for too long.

Well I thought it just had to be big enough to fit in your mouth... isn't that why sports climbers use quickdraws? So They can clip directly into their facial piercings instead of using their teeth? ... and why old traddies don't have any teeth? Adam
