I'm planning on doing moonlight buttress or lunar ecstasy in the next few weeks and will probably be doing it solo. Does anyone know if there is a suitable spot to build a multidirectional anchor at the start of the first pitch? How is the 5.10 variation to the 1st pitch? Can it be aided? Thanks in advance. Vinnie

Hi Vinnie: I soloed this first pitsh and there was no "suitable multidirectional" anchor, but that was OK because there wasn't much pro that would have helped, so the lack of anchor wasn't really relavent. The 5.10 variation can be aided and I heard no complaints about the suitability of the anchor from the guy I know who solo aided it, our own Epic_Ed. Have fun on the climb. Though you didn't ask... Highly recommend Lunar x over Moonlight for the sake of avoiding crowds and getting in some challenging aiding. Enjoy! -Kate.

I didn't see any obvious spot to build an anchor when I did it. But I managed to scrounge something up, plus I was able to get some bomber pro in quickly. I should mention that I climbed this pitch in the dark and it's easily possible I overlooked something.
