Starting in oct. I will be on a very long road trip. Can you help me out with some easy trad leads in Ok., Ar., and Utah. I can lead 5.5 trad and follow 5.7 maybe 5.8. Might make it to Az. too.

uh, I understand that this is in a different forum, but why not just keep it in one thread or ask a mod to move your original?

An example is the quality of the responses in this thread compared to the mostly bs in the other one. Thanks to those who answered and as far as Utah I will be going from say denver to las vegas or the other way. prolly more southern maybe south west. Also, I didn't realize that space was a such a premium here. The other thread has now come up with more beta but different than here. sorry about my netiqutte but I have always been uncouth and uncultured. You might say a curmudgeon. I didn't know about such things and my posts are mostly bs in scummunity.

If you're coming from Denver on I-70, Maple Canyon is about an hour and a half north of Salina, Ut. In southern Utah on I-15 you have Saint George which has several areas with the grades you are looking for. Check Drtopo.com. They have some guides for both areas and links to sites with full guide books.

While in Oklahom.I would hit upper and lower scott. Then the narrows, and if you have time maybe echo dome. Elk Slabs is a lot of fun also.

Thank you for the beta. both threads are providing useful but diff beta. I will checkout the places mentioned. I will be alone traveling around for a couple years and I will contact folks from here for partners. I mostly lead trad because they don't usually put bolts in til the climb is harder than I lead. I can lead bolted 7's maybe 8's. I trad lead 5's and under. I can follow a cpl grades harder. Sorry but I never had a course on netiquitte. I didn't grow up in the computer age either. I'm from the stoneage.

Lots of good stuff in the grades you like in the Salt Lake City area, on a variety of rock types. You might post again as the time of your trip gets near.

there is always bryce and zion on the way from denver to vegas. Arkansas has excellent climbing that time of year. Check out New Heights Rock Gym in Tulsa (http://www.newheightsgym.com/) for a wealth of information. Sams throne and horseshoe canyon are expansive. it is a different world there than in the west. spend some time with the locals in arkansas. it will add color to your trip, i promise.
