when he solos he does listen to his ipod once and a while... he makes mention of it in Return2Sender
id like to think hes rocking out to some Cro-Mags or Notorious BIG
this is a pointless thread, but i think its a funny idea, especially if he would be listening to "Gimmie The Loot"

Saw him around New Years soloing a route in Lost Horse Valley which looked completely ill....soloing a crack route is one thing but on thin, vertical face holds is a whole other commitment level than IMO deserves mucho respect. Anyway, he was wearing headphones but no idea what he was listening to.

I think both of you are nobodies. But now you are hitching yourselves to the Mike R. wagon. I think its a troll. You and others will always post up, but where are you? Its Sat. & I told you where he would be climbing. You could have seen for yourselves what he's up to. You could ask your questions or even try to keep up.

I met Michael last fall at Tahquitz and watched him solo The Green Rosetta - 5.11c on the Y-Crack Buttess (flaring offwidth crux). Im not sure what he was listening to when he took off, but 40 feet up he leaned back off a good jam, pulled out his ipod and switched the song, started singing along to Diamonds from Sierra Leone by Kanye West.

On my first visit to JT I saw him soloing some routes on headstone rock. That was his warm up before breakfast.
Few days later we run into him at Crossroads ( or whatever that place was called ), he wasn't very happy to find out that we were RC.comers.
I guess you guys must of give him hell.
I think he is OK fella.
