I'm deciding between 2 different wall ladders and have a couple questions. Specifically, preferences to Yates speed wall ladders or Metoliuos wall ladders. I noticed the stepping distance on the Metoliuos ladders are 9" apart as opposed to 12" on the Yates. Is 9' to close together or is there an advantage of doing 2 steps at a time down lower and an easier 1 step when you get a little higher in them, or is the 12" step more comfortable throughout? I'm 5'11" if this helps any. Also, does the spreader bar on the Yates tend to wear against the webbing after prolonged use?

go yates, the spreader bar is awesome and they're beefy. As to the spreader wearing, mine're scuffed up after a few walls, but nothing like wearing out. The yates steps are closer together as you get higher, since that's where more fine-tuning happens. They also have elastics under the 4th and 5th steps, which make jugging way easier (just slip 'em over your boots to keep from sliding around). I've added these to my Met. pocket aiders too, wish they did it in the factory...

I have a set of 3 yates biggies. They *rock*. They are way the heck better than the flat webbing bd aiders I have. I'm contemplating getting a 4th the next time I go walling, seems to work out better

I went with the Yates wall ladders. Ordered them on Wednesday nite from Bent Gate, and I just got them now, Friday afternoon. You rock Bent Gate.
