Got some sadness in the HLB house...
Can't Post

...this is pretty serious

We found out a couple of weeks ago that T's step-father has been diagnosed with cancer in three areas of his body.

We were hopeful that he would get strong enough to undergo some pretty aggressive treatment.

We found out today that the cancer has nearly doubled in size and that he is inoperable.

Hospice takes over this Friday.

Bob is one of those guys who should be able to live forever. Anyone who has known him is a better person for having done so. He will be missed.

*fighting back tears*

We talked to Brody (T's 11 yr old son) about it last night and he fell apart

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the next week.

I appreciate it.

Rob

That's so terrible. I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope things go as well as they can in the circumstances. I wish you all strength. I hope what time you have left is as joyful as possible.

*Hugs all around*

Shit. Sorry to hear that.

I don't want to hold out any sort of false hope, but you should get in contact with these guys at the University of Alberta. They've had some pretty impressive results recently, and are looking to set up clinical trials soon.

As many good vibes as I can muster are heading your way, guy. Give T a hug for me and my missus.

That's bad news, guys. Enjoy your remaining time with him. Maybe his docs will prescribe him some "special medicine" to make it more bearable. Remember, you can't hug someone or tell them you love them too much. Stay strong T.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure that there are words that can help here. I can say that my 6 year old nephew is dealing with leukemia right now so I can definitely empathize. I hope you and your family find a way to cope and find peace.

So sorry to hear such sad news HLB and T.... Lots of thoughts are heading your way.... be strong.... and together your hearts will provide all that he needs. I can very much sympathize and know a little of how you must be feeling.... life can deal harsh blows, but it can never impede the flow of love.
