Not to be a jerk, but you are already on the net.
Why cut down more trees if we don't have to.
Use google.

I would second tradrenn why cut more trees. You can get pdf's of Petzl, BD. Metolius has a pdf of theirs as with most companies. Plus its that time of the year when companies will be coming out with their new gear so any catalogs you get will be last years model.

Because the catalogs have articles and photos that the websites do not.

Because some company's websites are a PITA to navigate.

Because I refuse to browse the web while I'm on the can, but reading a catalog is fair game.

And that's only the beginning. There are plenty of reasons to want a catalog and not browse a website.

Paying retail is for suckers though. Get yourself on a pro-deal, or buy stuff on sale.

Head over to the Patagonia website, their webspecials can be pretty good sometimes. I've never requested a cataloge, but they sent them pretty frequently once I ordered something from their site.

Again not to be a jerk, and just to help put certain things in perspective, but why not solo or free climb, because output of rope, gear, harness, etc puts more pollutants into the air.

If climbing is your game, somebody else's is collecting catalogs. Impact yes, but still less than collecting a whole rack of gear.

Why not suggest to the companies to tone down their catalogs. Campmor is a decent benchmark. Their paper catalogs are minimalistic and don't use up much paper (but I hate that they send one for every season.)

Yeah, watch out for those catalogs.....yet more toilet paper is used daily than catalogs are produced. Don't we have more forested acres today here in NA than 100 yrs ago? Wink

Camp will send you a catalog as well. Nothing like sitting on the shitter and reading a good catalog followed by a good few sheets that measure 4"x 4" to follow through with.
Hey, I do conserve paper. I work in the woods and use moss every chance I get to wipe with. Angelic
I'm doing my part!!!

They only send you one per season? Geeze, they send me one every month or two, and one a week during Christimas! Couldn't be because I shop there regularly, no......

Yes, and they're all out of date before the ink is dry! Talk about trees that died in vain.
