Haven't seen that jacket, but I have a couple of Montbell sleeping bags and absolutely love them. The quality is first rate, and the design is brilliant. The company has an excellent reputation among those who know of it. They do use lightweight materials, so they wouldn't be a good choice for someone who is especially hard on gear. You would have to carry quite a bit more weight if you want something you can also use for construction work.
The jacket apears to be about the thickness of a Patagonia puffball, which is not a below zero arctic parka, but about right for late fall/mild winter conditions. I have one of those and use it a lot when it isn't totally squeeky snow cold.
You could probably google it and find some reviews.

I own (and sell) this jacket and love it. It is plenty warm for Northern Minnesota! However, the fit is fairly tight and this is a better backpacking piece than a belay parka. I generally wear a medium but had to go large on this...
Nice jacket, well worth the price, but if you are looking for a belay parka I'd look at something else.
Hope this helps!

Brewtoad; somewhat off topic, but I'm planning to get a Montbell UL down inner jacket, the one that weighs about 8 ounces. Do you know if it is also a tight fit? I usually wear a large, but sometimes XL, seems to depend on the product. I don't like a tight fit, but don't want the draftiness and extra bulk of an XL if large will fit. Any suggestions?

i have a really warm down parka, but kindof wanted a three season/light and fast option. I guess my question was how does it compare to the patagonia micro puff or the marmot flurry
thanks for the response

I have one of their older UL down coats. Love it and a M fits me fine (I wear M or L). Anyone have any experience with their softshell pants?
