Nice! I've been climbing a fair amount myself. Doing some afterwork climbing with headlamps on some of the "secret" ice routes aroung the area.

We should get together for some climbing.

Lunch is the sacred eating time for me, but holler if you get an evening when "the boss" allows you to pull plastic.

IMO -- interesting site, but it would be virtually dead without the front range thread. Personally, I don't see its touted functional advantages.

Hey everyone. Merry belated Christmas and New years. Hope you found the other site.

Vince it'd be great to meet up somtime and hit some ice. I've been out a fair amount so far, I do like the ice around the springs. Maybe we could meet up at Lincoln Falls or somthing before the years out. Good to hear from you. Hope you've got more work, than internet timePirate

Does anyone want to get out for some rock on Saturday? It's supposed to be relatively warm- mid-40s. That should feel pretty good given our recent cold trend.

Yeah, the gate is closed that goes to the Bank campground. I guess it's due to all the snow. Several people have been parking at the gate for the old Cactus Cliff parking area and just walking up the road. The snow looks pretty deep, though.

I'm still up for climbing in the cold. Wasn't out saturday because I've been fighting off some kind of bug.

The gate is closed going up to the Bank. Parking at the old access rd. is an option but because of the snow it is hard to get off the rd. Read this as parking ticket. Seems that at least right now access to Cactus is being dictated by the BLM. Sat was cold as hell but several days last week would have been great if only you could get to the rock. We climbed @ Sand Gulch Sat. and suffered in the cold.

I was up there last Thursday and would have liked gaiters for the snow, but other than that the hike up to Cactus from the road wasn't bad.

Ahem...clearing out the cob webs.

Climbing at RRC in the Springs on Sat. was great, sunshine and warm temps. The base of most of the routes were wet and/or snow covered. Tristan made mud balls.Pirate

Just a note for the Springs climbers. Daylight savings time switches back early this year. I believe March 11, after work climbing will start that week!!!

Glad you can make it out after work, did your schedule change? There is a possibilty I might be climbing rock on Sat. and skiing on Sun., you are welcome to join.

Ice sounds good, lets try to set something up soon.

Hiya Vince and Steve. Long time no chat. I'm incredibly jealous of all the climbing going on. The doc has forbid me to climb for another month and a half. Afraid the tendon graph will tear, blah, blah. So, I'm heading to the gym next week. Just going to carefully check it out....

Hi Cindy! You crazy cyborg.Tongue When you can climb again, come down and climb with me.

I was climbing at RRC again today, despite colder temps and some snow last night, it was pretty good on the east facing rock.

Skiing tomorrow...you know how I roll.

I just moved to the Downtown Denver area and was wondering if anyone might want to go climbing whenever the weather is nice. I am still recovering from a broken leg so I can't lead anything hard...but I'll toprope anything.

I'm also down to climb in a gym when the weather is bad.

Any been to Shelf Road lately. I heard the roads there can be bad in the winter. Is the access snow covered, or will a little 4 cylinder 2WD make it back there. The weather is getting nice and I'm itching to get out. If access is ok, my girlfriend and were planning on climbing there on Sun if any is interested. We'd be leaving from downtown Denver if anyone would want to carpool.

Also, dubou4 I'm pretty much in your boat too. Recently moved a few months ago, but haven't met to many people since I've been here. I'm a bit out of climbing shape, i've learned to board and that's been taking up my weekends.

I was there on Mon and the drive to the bank parking lot is fine.
