Hi guys doing some planing for opening a outdoor store in guelph ontario. What do you guys think,where should it be what should i have and so on.....

The elephant in the room is MEC so if you carry any brand that MEC does not then you have a chance of success.

#1 You should have Aliens cause MEC doesn't.
#2 You should do Custom orders, again MEC doesn't do that and EB sacks at it. ( 2 years I'm waiting for my tent )
#3 You should have as good selection as MEC, I'm pretty sure some people would be more then happy if they wouldn't have to drive to TO just to get 2 cams or something like that.

Thanks for the help guys i hope to open in the next 3 years and yes i will do Custom orders.
where would you guys like to see it in guelph downtown or south end?

Last i knew, MEC didn't carry Omega Pacific either.
Also, in this area, I'd love to see someone who carries a good selection of guidebooks for Canada and the US.
I'd vote for either downtown or off Hwy 7 (guess it's farther for the Cambridge crowd, but handier for those in KW).

Yeah, Highway 7 would be good.Think about the climbers north of you. We have a choice, MEC mail order or driving to the MEC in TO.

Ya hwy 7 area would be sweet for us KW folks....and while yer at it...u should open a gym as well, we need a gym in KW!!!!

Ya a climbing gym. It gets pretty cold at Metcafle Rock in the winter.
