Better yet, where shouldnt you climb at MPSP. Do you TR trad or spor climb. Palisades is mostly Toprope w/ gaggles of climbers. I take my 5 yr old son there. Depending on youre ability, and youre gear, you could almost climb anywhere. There is trad climbs galore but the rock is chossy, crumbly limestone in places. If you are into 5.3 -5.8 iI would recomend the sentinal and quadrange, and the twin sisters area, which all are great crags w/ climbs from 5-2-5.11+, 12 . If you were more specific I could steer you better. Twin Sisters seems to always be crowded everytime im there, but always great people. Do you crack climb, face climb, overhangs dihedrals aretes . Name it, the park has alot for ILLINOIS,and its limestone. Quadrangle @ the sentinal area is nice and the sentinal is free standing w/ about 7-8 routes @ diverse grades, even a 5.10 something trad climb w/ an old bolt ladder, alot of exposure w/ the river to youre back. Make the trip but I would recommend getting River Rock, a guide to MPSP which lists about 150 or more routes, its been a while since I had the guidebook

no sport, but trad routes abound there, just pay attention to the choss. Be selective of the routes you lead. Difficult crack 5-8+ great 30' lead 1st crack is 5-6 or 7 nice and good pro. If you lead you will see what there is
