hi,

i tried a search and didn't come up with what i was looking for...

friends and i are hitting the road for 3-4 weeks starting in mid-May until mid June. we start in denver and want to slowly make our way back through utah, AZ, maybe cal, back to vancouver where we live. we want to do a variety of things from hiking, mountaineering, trad up to say 5.10, sport up to mid 11s, bouldering...

any suggestions of places not to miss? we are for sure hitting indian creek, moab, zion, (i've heard good things about maple canyon and wallstreet in utah), maybe some routes on castleton tower...any other desert towers??

thanks a lot!

best, phil

the highlight tour? fun towers? its worth stopping in sedona for the mace, and dropping by ancient art outside moab.

particularly if you'll be near those places anyway.

i dont know how new climbers would take to those two, but they are perfect for the reasonably experienced climber who also likes a little adventure. the mace more so than the other.

both great fun though. southern arizona also has some neat stuff. cochise and especially baboquivari might be super fun for new climbers who dont mind scenic backcountry hiking.
