If you've climbed at the Red recently you may have visited Red River Outdoors. The owners are awesome people who provide guide services, a restaurant, and cabin rentals. Just heard that the business burned yesterday. Matt and Amy can really use your help if interested. There is a paypal account if you want to make a donation. http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtopic.php?t=8295&highlight=

Matt & Amy do have insurance - and they are currently working to claim damages. however, insurance takes time and they still need things now. Their house, their gear, their truck, their beloved dog River - everything was lost. It's heartwarming to see everyone offering their assistance. Rick Webber pointed out "True North, Appalachian Climbing School, and Torrent Falls --quickly arrive[d] on the scene with assistance, food, and offers to loan gear and guides to help them get back on their feet." There is a fundraiser breakfast being held at Miguels: For everyone going to the Gorge this weekend. Get your friends and friends friends. There will be a pancake breakfast at Miguels this Sunday morning. Miguel was gracious enough to let us host a breakfast at his business and will be providing some of the food as well. We're gonna keep it basic, panckes bacon and eggs as well as OJ and Coffee. All...All money raised will be donated to the Tacketts. So be sure to tell everyone and make 'em come on down. Price is yet to be determined but anything helps. This is the least we can do for these two awesome people in a time of need. We've all done so much but lets see what else we can do. We all in the gorge look forward to seeing everyone here at Miguels on sunday April 29th!
