Heya all, We've implemented and enabled user-controlled SPAM filtering on Rockclimbing Mail. We use an application called SpamAssasin which analyses incoming mail, and based on known spam characteristics, assigns a score to every message. Messages meeting a certain preset score will be marked as spam. You will see a new "SPAM" folder on your folder list in the left sidebar. There are some default settings for filtering spam. Messages that are considered to be spam will be filtered off into this folder and you can review them before deleting them. You can choose the level of filtering that you want to apply to your account by going to the "Options" link in the local navigation bar once you're in the E-mail application. From the Options menu choose: "Spam Detection". Once in the Spam Detection section you can further fine-tune how spam is handled by clicking on the "Show advanced settings »" link at the bottom. Look through the options on that page. There's a description with each field which will give you a good understanding of how the new features work. When viewing a message you now also have a link in the header to flag any message as spam. Flagging spam that made it through the filters instead of just deleting it enables the system to "learn" and refine its algorithms. Hope this helps!
