so i want shoes for tin cracks, soft shoes with rubber on over the toes, how do these compare? i was watching Return 2 Sender and saw that there shoes are basically what i want, those grey montrial VCs i like velcros and want soft shoes with ALOT of rubber, recomendations?

the wasabis are green,the index are the grey velco ones although they have the less sticky of montrails climbing rubber, i had the magnet (the laceup version of wasabi) and it was OK the rubber is sticky and they are comfortable at first but ive seen the velcro fail while people are on route before with the wasbi's. also the uppers are not breathable so my feet sweat bad in the causing slippage, blisters and the worst smelling shoes ive ever owned. just my 2 cents. i would pass on montrail and go with an alternative. try a good comparable 5.10 or la sportiva.. hope i helped... good luck

They are comfortable and they edge well, but i don't think they smear too well IMHO.
