Where can I buy the webbing I need for tie-offs?

Maybe the only thing available is 9/16th tubular, but it is heavier than the tie-offs I previously made.

OR, what webbing do you-all suggest?

All these new-fangled pre-tied slings are making it harder and harder to find cord and webbing on the spool. Outside of an outdoor outfitters, you might try a surplus store. They often have a few random pieces of gear, webbing, and cordage. Oh, and be sure to have a look at the military climbing techniques manual.

Use 1/2 inch tubular webbing. Don't trust any climbing shop that doesn't stock all sizes of cord and webbing. The 1/2 inch size is ideal for tying off and stacking pitons, just be careful to not hit the webbing with your hammer. That's why tie offs are essentially disposable.

Hmmmm, if you don't have a local shop that supplies it then you might be hard pressed to find it.
REI carries it at some stores, but does not mail order as far as I can tell.

MEC (canada based) can get it to you though.

I would suggest three colors of it and color coding your tie offs by length.
