This was one of those "Hold me beer, Watch this!" things wasn't it. Good that he lived, but sadly you have to die before you can be nominated for the Darwin Awards. Stupidity knows no limits!

I'm glad he's alive, but unfortunately this means he still has the chance to impregnate someone and pass on his genes. It's possible therefore that he has escaped the wrath of Darwin. Then again, maybe he sheared off his nuts in the fall and there's still hope for mankind...

Doesn't surprise me. That site encourages people to do really stupid things. I say encourages them cause they allow them to post this shit. Surprised there is not more of this happening.

There was a case at Grand Canyon NP in which a father decided he'd fool his daughter in to thinking he had fallen into the canyon. Standing on a stone wall, he jumped onto the ledge between the wall and the chasm where he planned to duck down. Unfortunately, he lost his balance and fall off a 300 ft cliff.

I hate the bloody handrails, not only are they ugly, but they also save many from Darwining their way out of existence

He /his parents will probably sue; ie. improper railing construction, not enough warning signage, no anti-slip surfaces installed on the rock, etc. ad nauseum....

Well, then I'm telling you that you don't have as good of stories to tell than the rest of us (don't argue, this is a statement of logic and a small, privileged glimse into the cult of personality)

In reply to: ...Witnesses said the boy appeared to be suffering from major leg injuries, said Stefanisko, who noted that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a role in his fall... I guess idiocy, in and of itself is sufficient. Curt

As climbers you ought not push your karma envelope to far, eh...?
