Heres another dumb aid question, what does KB stand for, is it a type of piton like a rurp or something? Can anyone link me a picture of one. I've read of them being used on routes but never heard anyone discuss that one is better then another, is there mulitaple brands? I know theres different sizes.

Thanks Geoff bigwaller in training

Chain Reaction, Smith Rock, classic KnifeBlade, if you'd like to use a climb for reference

A knifeblade is a piton dude. Not an arete like feature.

As you can tell, our jetsetting friend here has probably never placed a blade before or clipped a rusty loose one before a 50' runout. Nice try though jetace. Next time diversify your climbing a bit and you will seem a bit more knowledgable.

TRADitionally yours,
