We will ask them to put us close together we may not all get close but they closed the 1st loop so we cant get too far away. goto http://www.stayatmnparks.com for more info or for reservations I think it has a map of the camp gpound but they asign spots when you get there. I will bring some fire wood but I'm not sure how much I can briong, depends on what car I bring.

I'm going to post this in the Oct forum also and then have the sept forum closed.

I don't think we need to make reservations though... There probably won't be too many tent camp-ers there. Probably just a few "motor campers"...

I think I have a bit of wood left over from misc. this summer. I'll bring 1 nights worth of campfire wood if Les or someone else can bring another nights worth; that should cover us for Friday and Saturday nights.

Oh, and bring some warm jammies, it looks like low 40's or high 30's at night...

WWWWHHHHEEEWwwwww WWWHHHHOOOOOOOO!!!!! 4 days from right now I'll be on my way....

Anyone for VE Wednesday night I'll be there between 5:30 and 6pm...

I will be there. Look for a new climber also. I got an e-mail from someone named Kurt who will be looking for you. He will be there between 4:00 and 5:00. He said he is 5'8", has black hair, and is 35 but he looks 28.

Hey Chris, Come on over!!! We (fo_d and I) should be to Blue Mounds by around Noon-ish (or maybe a little earlier). As soon as we get our tents set up we'll be out climbing so, come on out and look for a couple of old "long hairs" doing easy leads or setting up top-ropes. You will know our cars by the RC.com stickers on the back windows.

You will want to bring some warm clothes just in case though, it may get a bit chilled.

old_school, every time we go somewhere, you say you're coming and then never show up... I'm not sure we can believe you anymore, but come on down anyway...

I'll be up there Saturday to climb with Josh and you Minn. guys. Seems like you all were having a great time in May when I met you there.
I've been on a forced layoff from climbing and gym work all Summer, and desperately need to get my climbing fix in before it gets too cold!
Sometime when you folks are camped there for 2 days, check out Palisades State Park in S.D., it's only 30 miles from Mounds and is the same kind of rock, only in a much prettier setting. I'd be glad to show you the way around that park.
I plan on being there at Mounds Saturday as long as my old Chevy will make it and there are not 100% chance of thunderstorms.

Dan, it'll be great to see you again. I heard about Pallisades and have been wanting to look it over but I never have time, do you know of a guide book for it?

To everyone else who is planning to be there Fri morning, I have a delema, I am taking my kids out of school to go that day, but the weather forcast is saying its going to rain all day Friday http://www.weather.com/weather/detail/USMN0460?dayNum=2

I have known the weather.com forcast to be way off and I rarely trust them anymore, but if Fri morning comes and it says its raining there I want to send my kids to school and leave later in the day. duskerhu I know is planning on me being with him there on Fri and if anyone else was doing the same and you would like to try to change my mind, please feel free, I just cant see dragging the kids out there and waiting around for ir to stop raining. If you know of a place to get a better forcast please post it or if you heard a different forcast let me know, I'm looking for any reason to leave Fri morning.

Les

Hey Les,
Check out Intellicast, it only states showers are possible for Friday and then Scattered for Saturday.

http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USLocalStd.asp?loc=usmnct15212&seg=LocalWeather&prodgrp=Forecasts&product=Forecast&prodnav=none&pid=none

Have a great time.

Ah, yeah Louis, that ones a bit better...

HEY EVERYONE! I'm skipping the weekend and going down Monday morning instead... I'll be back in town in time for the crappy weather next weekend...

Yeah, I'm kidding... But seriously, Les just stopped by and I think I have him talked back into going Friday morning again...

So, here's the plan...
Les (fo_d) and his crew/kids, Patrick (pelliott) and his kids and stopping in Jordan to get Curt, and MYself (duskerhu), and maybe Jeff (rockhugger) and his son I think are planning on making the trip Friday morning... I know Les and Myself should be AT Blue Mounds by noon-ish.

The Nebraska Boys led by Josh (jhatten) are supposedly coming, at some point, hopefully... as is Nebraska Dan (dannoman) probably on Saturday...

Then we possibly have Amanda (amsam), Chris from CheeserLand (quickclips sorry 'bout the cheeser comment Chris) , Andy (old_school but he'll have a better party to attend than this one) and our good ol' climbin' bud Todd (who will get there about 8pm Friday night).

Wow, if everyone shows up, this could be a bigger group than we had in May... and on a rainy weekend too...

WWWWOOOOOOOO wWWWHHHHHhhhooooooooo!!! Lets climb!!!

Ahhhh!
My friend bailed and my dad doesn't want to bring me because of the weather forcasts. I might be able to change his mind, but it's not very likely. Is anyone from around here leaving tomorrow afternoon and could possibly pick me up? Otherwise, I probably won't be there, but I'll keep trying.

Okay, my dad agreed to take me on Saturday, as long as it's not raining. We'd leave early in the morning, but i'm not sure what time we'll get there. So hopefully I'll see you all there!
