So I've been working hard over the past year in getting in a ton of new assents at Rumney. A friend and I have a handshake wager going that we need to send our first 13 before the snow falls. Any thoughts as to what might be a good one? I'm more of a crimpy technical climber, he's more of a burly move, overhang climber.

I agree. Bottom Feeder. I wasn't very far from sending it last week end after about ten tries. Considering I've never even sent 12b, I'd say that's a pretty good candidate for a first 13. It's about 8 moves total and you're out. Almost too good to be true, though some will say it's more of a V7 highball.

Bottom Feeder if you are a good boulderer, the Tin Monkeys link-up at Orange Crush if you have endurance (it is a blast of a route too). Big Kahuna is going in as 13a in the new guidebook (so that makes it my first 13, BF my second). It is good if you are not too short and a good boulderer, but want a bit more meat than Bottom Feeder.
