Hi all, I'm going to be visiting family out near Joshua Tree in late September, the 23-25 and would like to get some climbing in while I'm there. I'll be going by myself so would it be easy to find partners to climb with while I'm out there? Or if I could meet up with someone?
Also, where can I find a good guide book for Joshua Tree? Thanks in advance!

I'm brand spanking new to this site, and really to climbing in general, but I'm looking to spend a lot of time out in JT. I live a half hour away, so it should be easy.
If you want someone to climb with(although I'm afraid that since you're skill level is a lot higher than mine it'd turn into a lesson) I'd be happy to give it a try.
