Hate asking, but I be needing a good coupon (20% or something) to someplace like Mgear or Moosejaw. Diggin the Trango EVO GTX Light boots but not the retail price.
On another note - isnt it about time for a 1/2 price clearance items for REI. I thought they were usually late Aug.

Check your local REI stores. I got BD Turbo Express screws for $15, Grivel X-Monster tools for $40 a piece and BD Vipers for $66 a tool. Sorry Portlanders, I got em all ;).
I must say beyond that this has been a weak sale. I usually leave with bags-o-loot and this time all I had was a t-shirt before seeing the tools.

REI also has reduced prices for Power Cams and Trango Superfly biners (among other items) listed online for the Labor Day Sale.
Sale starts today (8/24) and lasts until the Sept. 3rd.

Superfly biners are only on sale online.
They also have nice shoes on sale, I got a pair of hiking sandals and a nice pair of boots for 40 bucks on clearance.

That's a great deal on a good all-around rope. My partner picked one up about 2 years ago. I just climbed on it again today, in fact. I've led sport and multi-pitch trad on it, top roped on it, and of course any requisite rappelling when finished with said activities. It has proven nicely durable, not over-kinky (as another partner's rope tends to be), and handles well. It broke in very quickly, feels like it lost its dry treatment almost immediately. It's an excellent choice for a first rope, or as an only rope if you intend to just own one.
